Red Bus Route ( People Bus Service ) Karachi

Modern transport has revolutionized the way we travel and has brought about a plethora of benefits to society. One of the key benefits of modern transport is that it has significantly reduced travel time, allowing people to reach their destinations faster and more efficiently. This has led to increased productivity and economic growth as people are able to reach their workplaces and do business more quickly.

Modern transport has also improved accessibility, making it easier for people to access goods and services from different parts of the world. This has facilitated international trade and commerce, leading to increased economic activity and growth. Additionally, modern transport has improved safety and security, with better-designed vehicles, safer roads, and improved traffic management systems.

Moreover, modern transport has brought about significant environmental benefits. The development of eco-friendly modes of transport, such as electric cars and bicycles, has helped reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. This has helped mitigate the negative impact of transportation on the environment, leading to a more sustainable and greener future.

The Government of  Sindh  has launched a new public transit service in Karachi called "Peoples Bus Service". The service connects major residential hubs with industrial and business centers through three types of buses: red, white, and pink. The red buses are air-conditioned with dedicated spaces for ladies, white buses are electric vehicles, and pink buses are for women only during peak hours.

In the first phase, 200 buses are running on seven routes, with fixed fares of PKR 50 per person per ride, except for Route 9, which is PKR 100 after Malir Halt. The service operates from 7 am to 10 pm with a headway of 15 minutes during peak hours and 30 minutes during off-peak hours. In the second phase, 110 more buses will operate on all ten routes in Karachi, bringing the total to 250 buses.
